LONDON: The IITs may have slid down the
rankings of the world's best universities, but
when compared with their peer institutions
they have held their own or even improved
their position.
A week after the Times Higher Education
Supplement (THES) ranked the IITs at No. 57
among universities, it has ranked them No. 3
among the world's technology universities —
the same position as in 2005 — and at No. 33
in the list of science universities, which is
three notches up from last year's No. 36.
